Program
Wildlife Field Trips & Internships
Connecting kids in under-resourced communities to wildlife centers and sanctuaries that can change their lives.
Opening Doors to Wildlife
Through our internship program, youth are matched with wildlife projects where they will develop real skills while making a real difference. We use our resources to connect kids in impoverished communities to wildlife centers and sanctuaries in their country—by funding classroom field trips and sponsoring wildlife-related internships.
Case Study · Costa Rica
San José to the Pacific Coast
We worked with partner organizations Lifting Hands and Kids Saving the Rainforest to send an entire class from an inner-city community center in San José all the way to Manuel Antonio National Park in Quepos—over four hours away on the Pacific Coast.
Lifting Hands is a center for learning and motivation that all impoverished children in Costa Rican communities can call home. We organized and funded a day-long wildlife field trip for 16 youth—none of whom had ever left the city of San José or seen a rainforest before.
During their field trip, the kids explored the coastal rainforest, learned about wildlife rehabilitation, and discovered what they could do to protect rainforest animals. The focus: expose kids to conservation, spark a love of nature, and empower them to take action.
Testimonial
"Today the kids had such an amazing day! Thank you very, very much. This was an experience that will stay with the kids forever. Your group is amazing!"

Internship Program
Through our internship program, youth are matched with wildlife projects where they will be able to develop skills while making a real difference. We facilitate lasting relationships between urban youth centers and wildlife sanctuaries—bridging communities that would otherwise never connect.
