As we are headquartered in San Diego, CA, we work primarily on wildlife issues affecting Southern California. Much of our work in the United States is concerned with connecting elementary school students with wildlife rescue, habitat, and rehabilitation projects.
One way to work to connect kids with wildlife is through promoting Schoolyard Habitats. The planning, design, implementation, and on-going monitoring and maintenance of a schoolyard habitat provides endless opportunities for kids to experience wildlife and to meet and exceed high academic standards across the curriculum. Kids Saving Critters has built bird boxes and installed planter boxes. Smaller projects focus on attracting and supporting local insects and butterflies.
